PROPERTY:   The optically inactive camphene is colorless cubic crystal. Melting point: 51-52°C, boiling point;158.5-159.5°C(normal pressure),92.4°C (100 millimeters of mercury), 55-60°C (16 millimeters of mercury),relative density:0.8422(54/4°C),refractive index:1.4551(54°C). Does not dissolve in water, slightly soluble in mellow, dissolves in ether, cyclohexane, tetrahydrobenzene and chloroform, volatilizes in the air, this product's toxicity is 1/30 of camphor's.

USE:  used for synthesizing camphor, spicery ( such as the isoborneol acetate), insecticide(such as the towaphene), borneol, etc
